Terms & Conditions – Julie Arbuckle Art Courses

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings for art courses led by Julie Arbuckle. By booking a place you agree to the following:

1. Booking & Payment

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place on the course.
  • Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received.

2. Cancellations & Refunds (Participant-Initiated)

  • More than 10 days before course start date: Full refund.
  • Between 10 days and 7 days before start date: 50% refund.
  • Less than 7 days before start date: 25% refund.
  • After the course has commenced: No refunds will be given for missed sessions or withdrawals.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 working days.

3. Cancellations & Cover (Tutor-Initiated)

  • If Julie is unable to lead a class (e.g. due to illness), a suitably experienced professional art tutor will be sourced to cover where possible.
  • If a class cannot be covered and must be cancelled, participants will receive a refund for that week, calculated as:
    Total course fee ÷ number of weeks = per-week refund amount.
  • In the unlikely event the entire course is cancelled before it begins, a full refund will be offered.

4. Materials

  • Basic art materials will be provided.
  • Students are encouraged to bring their own watercolour kit (paints, brushes, paper, pencils etc.) if available. This helps you become familiar with your own materials and benefit from shared learning within the group.

5. Attendance

  • Participants are responsible for attending all scheduled sessions. Refunds or make-up sessions cannot be offered for non-attendance.

6. Health & Safety

  • Please inform Julie in advance of any relevant health issues or access needs.
  • Participants agree to follow any safety guidance given during sessions.

7. Photography & Publicity

  • Occasionally photos may be taken for promotional purposes (e.g. website, social media). If you prefer not to be photographed, please let Julie know at the start of the course.

8. Liability

  • Julie Arbuckle is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings brought to the venue.
  • Participation is at your own risk and reasonable care is expected when using materials and equipment.
