“The Fairy Pools, Skye” is inspired by a visit to the famour “Fairy Pools” in Glen Brittle (Gleann Breadail) on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. It was beautifully cold day, with ice forming on the pools and sparkling in the sunlight. The painting features fragments of maps of Skye and copies of sketches done whilst sitting sketching on the rocks.
